The Entertainer

Made to fit the prompt "Royal". Seeing as I've never really felt the royal type, I decided to take inspiration from the court. Check the PDF for formatting.
-------------------------------------------
I am no ruler,
just a fool for the court.

Laugh for me.

I am the jester,
who will risk my life for your approval.

Watch me closely.

I’ll dazzle you with color
and make your heart swoon.

You’ll love me.

I have no power,
just the will to shine.

Laugh at me.

I am the fool,
my life is worth little to the treasury.

Eye my lies.

I'll bewilder you with fibs
and make your blood boil.

You'll curse me.
